Well to be honest I do not really care about the rules. :D Most of us here are more like WYSIWYG including everything like demage, armor, "hitpoints" and stuff.
But anyway this system u mentioned seems have pretty long fights...
What about infights, charging and stuff ? Is that forbidden or is it more like fullcontact sports in Canada ?

regarding nemesis I just love their "pourrie" look its perfect for an orc.
By asking for the system I meant more the background story of that event. Why are the people there what are they doing etc.
Perhaps you have a link for me were i can check this?!
We'll the DF has several thousands participants in differnent camps, mostly fighting for the victory in the Mainbattle. To win this battle the camps can make quests in order get some advantages during the fight. Each camp is lead by an so called Avatar that represents a dragon and this dragon stands for different attributes like honor, wisdom and so on. apart from those camps you have some smaller ones there that are mainly attached to the "mainvillage" by being a citydistrict. i.e. the dwarfs district, camp of the tribes and some more. The uruks are mostly there for fighting and as they do not respect the rules of this dragon competition, they have no avatar and can not win... well actually they are just there to fuck up this complete kindergarden by killing everybody, burning down that hole thing and looting as much as possible.

The rest seems to be pretty similar, some taverns, bath tubs, a casino, a market with food, weapons, armor and stuff, a small arena, a postoffice, bank and some more buildings.
The main thing for me there is just the size. Its just great to fight in a mainbattle with some thousand other idiots. On the other hand thats a problem too because the area is pretty small. So acutally its nothing more than a big pasture in the middle of a small wood. and the camps are build side by side and if you do not take care you put you tent into the wrong camp

But the UrukCamp has no such problem as we are located opposing to this hole "camp near camp front" on a small hill.
May be this gives you a little idea of the Drachenfest

If I were you I would check for some other events here durring the time and just stay for some weeks jumping from event to event.
So that this hole ticket stuff just pays off.
