Hi Grotof,

Je ne pensé pas qu'il est necessaire d'utiliser google pour traduire du francais en allemand.
J'aura encore moins qui vont te cemprendre. ;)

I think you are right, most people here will better understand english then french.
You will find pictures and videos of the urukcamp by searching for "OHL" and "DF" on the web.
Moktaar just made a Thread containing all picture-links that were posted by the members of last year:

http://www.orklager.org/olforum/index.p ... 510.0.html

Actually I would really like to pass one day to try Bicolline, seems to be pretty nice. But I think the main
problem would be to transfer our tonnes of material to canada :) Apart from the fact that the flighttickets
are not realy cheap ;D

But if you really want to come to europa next year or the year after we could surely find a way to give you
a hand on this.
So if you want, you can wright me a PM if this gets somehow concrete and I will check what I can do for you.

i´ll try to launch an english version of the "drachenfest-orkheerlager"-website before 2012 since we´re attracting growing international attention ^^.
time to provide low-threshold access to people not speaking german :).

Thanks to you , too. I think for us its partly the same for our clan. WE should have enough stuff her to equipe 2 or 3 visitors from canada.(not completly of course but some armor parts etc. ;))

I think I'll have da deeper look into this Bico thing to check out what the game sytem there is like, how free players can act, what the aim of the hole thing is etc.

game system is easy, 1 life point per body part [armS, legS, body and head] depend on the armor you can have 4 more [so 5 maximum] (soft leather +1, hard leather +2, chainmail +3 and steel +4] for each part. Each weapon does 1 to 2 :P [2 for arrows, 2 hands pole arms and "long" sword [2 hand too]. War engine kill "one shoot". you CANT poke in face everything else is ok. No "magic" on the field except for healers [so you cant see fireballs or any offensife magic, it's a WYSIWYG]. If you lose a member, leg for an exampe, you cant walk but you can use weapons and speak.. if it's a hand you lose shield or weapon [you can shift your weapon but your supposed to drop it down and take it back with the "good" hand] If you lose head or body it's a dead :P [normally in the "grande bataille" we dont use cemetary so you wait for an healer [each front have many many many :P]

we are over 2000 players, some does real role play some just came to live medieval and some, like me, try roleplay and prefer fights [3 per day  for different guilds, normally we can play in the 3 :P it's a 100 vs 100 for those little fight]. "la grande bataille" it's like 800 vs 800 3 times in the week. Many little activity can be done like fight 1 vs 1 where you can win nemesis, calimacil.. swords. "La fosse au monstres" where you can see our monsters fight, you can try to fight them, with some soldiers to try to be a runic [only them can fight monsters in "grande bataille"]. A casino [witch use bicolline's coins], some shows for everyone, can see a ton of artisants with their products [like nemesis :P i know ppl from europe love those weapons :P, few armorers, jewels and many more] trollballs [2-3 times a day].................... cant reember it all !

------
continue to tease me and ill go to bank make a loan :P

Well to be honest I do not really care about the rules.  :D Most of us here are more like WYSIWYG including everything like demage, armor, "hitpoints" and stuff.
But anyway this system u mentioned seems have pretty long fights...

What about infights, charging and stuff ? Is that forbidden or is it more like fullcontact sports in Canada ? :D

regarding nemesis I just love their "pourrie" look its perfect for an orc.

By asking for the system I meant more the background story of that event. Why are the people there what are they doing etc.
Perhaps you have a link for me were i can check this?!

We'll the DF has several thousands participants in differnent camps, mostly fighting for the victory in the Mainbattle. To win this battle the camps can make quests in order get some advantages during the fight. Each camp is lead by an so called Avatar that represents a dragon and this dragon stands for different attributes like honor, wisdom and so on. apart from those camps you have some smaller ones there that are mainly attached to the "mainvillage" by being a citydistrict. i.e. the dwarfs district, camp of the tribes and some more. The uruks are mostly there for fighting and as they do not respect the rules of this dragon competition, they have no avatar and can not win... well actually they are just there to fuck up this complete kindergarden by killing everybody, burning down that hole thing and looting as much as possible. ;D

The rest seems to be pretty similar, some taverns, bath tubs, a casino, a market with food, weapons, armor and stuff, a small arena, a postoffice, bank and some more buildings.

The main thing for me there is just the size. Its just great to fight in a mainbattle with some thousand other idiots. On the other hand thats a problem too because the area is pretty small. So acutally its nothing more than a big pasture in the middle of a small wood. and the camps are build side by side and if you do not take care you put you tent into the wrong camp ;)
But the UrukCamp has no such problem as we are located opposing to this hole "camp near camp front" on a small hill.

May be this gives you a little idea of the Drachenfest :)

If I were you I would check for some other events here durring the time and just stay for some weeks jumping from event to event.
So that this hole ticket stuff just pays off.

bicolline have no player vs player [so you cant hit someone except during fights and with your weapons] [hard tu explain that in english for me :P]
you cant retain [google translate im not sure about this word] ennemy weapons [you can till he can pull it back] it's almost weapons fights :P

for website everything is in french they never traduce it but i can send you "the forum" where few ppl speak better english than mine :P
http://cercle.purforum.com/

for the purpose of the event i really dont know. Im new there only 3 years old :P. As i know we are there to live medieval [every building are real and they still there 12 month a year!, build by guilds] see "old friends" and drink, more they can ,beer :P. how can i say.. we have a virtual game too and the "grande bataille" is where your virtual action can be real [ X attack Y so try it on the field as an example].

hard to explain all this in english :P i really need to read more about bico.. i go there to play my ork for my personal pleasure, meet ppl that love medieval and fantastic, as me, and roleplay when i wanna do it ! we dont have "quests" at the grande bataille [except for the bataille itself where guild groups to get our goals].

i hope it's a bit clear... because for me isnt :P

and thnks for DF i've looked a ton of images from the post you send me more i know more i wanna go :D

ahh and a littel forgotten thing ..... our terrain isnt only valley .. we have a "canyon" [isnt a real canyon but if you go down full armored... your crazy, almost 15feet tall ] a valley, mountains [too much] a little river [ingame in some event]. In the grande bataille we never battle in the town but in smallest event we do and it's................. C_R_A_Z_Y_ !!!!!
