Orc in the making (Garment docum.)
Hey Guys,
Joining in along with all the Gewandungs doku's and adding my own thread and insight to my gear. I'm an orc in the making of Okup, with the mindset to work my butt off when I can to get ready for my first Drachenfest this year. Being a bachelor student graduating within half a year it's going to be a challenge though. But I'm set for both goals!
My idea with this thread is to give a closer look at what I'm wearing and the thoughts put into the craft. I'm not only making this to show-off, but more so in hope of getting all of you badass german orc's feedback on the parts added, hopefully along with tips and tricks hoping to reach my goal of hitting DF17 with those of you that join too.
So before hitting me with the hard critique let me giving you an insight into my orc and the gear I have and have to make.
*begins to put together the updated list*.
I'll be looking forward to the chats in here

Update 1
I'm currently aiming to finish up a nice and cool basic light warrior/shaman orc set of gear pieces.
I got a varied bunch of stuff, and lack some stuff as well. As well as some which I feel is close to being ready for a check-off.
#00. But let's start with what it looked like few month's back: Okay, but a way too light and mixed look. Nothing like the standards of my clan. But as we say - it's a proces, no one comes out swinging right away.
As you can see on the image above I got a backfur, which sadly got cleaned up by the past month's heavy rain during a larp... A fur which is also covering way too much of my upper body. I lack shoe-covers to blend in my shoes, and perhaps need proper shoes for summer. Since these are military desert boots. I got a skirt/kilt that's barely showing, pants that look way too clean and a shirt that could be worn along with other stuff.
And that's just to mention the basics.
#01. As you can see here, I recently removed most of the red-paint I had applied to my mask, making it green again. I have added chin beards with details to it, along with scars and a bunch of piercings. I'm very satisfied with my mask, and it's not what needs my focus to finish. #02. Yet today I took on my updated gear after a clan workshop, where I got real rough with my gear after having added several more gear pieces. The fur is much darker now with blood, dirt and black acryllic (it's been Mordormilled, as we call it in Okup). Same goes for the neckcollar, my leather armor, the kilt and pants. Which have left me pretty satisfied with the big step I feel it have added in the right direction of what I wanted, from where I came from:

Update 2
and AFTER
.:: See the following post for a closer insight into the main gear pieces worn above
So what's up next you may ask?
I'm working on:
- my leather tunica, along with a shirt for none fighting situations.
- More adjustment-belts to the body-knife-belt.
- Sheaths for my weapons (a pair of small daggers, and a varied sizes of blades).
- Shoecovers, armbracers and gloves
- Patinating and weathering various pieces
- Adding length to my pants
- And basically trying it out at larps
- Along with thinking of how it will work as a summer outfit

Re: Orc in the making (Garment docum.)
So do you have any thoughts on the things I mentioned or perhaps didn't mention?I couldn't find the root to the issue of the image urls not working for the rest of you, so I worked
around it by attaching the images. Hopefully that won't cause any problems.
I thought a close-up of the main gear pieces shown in the #2nd update would make sense, so here goes:
Backfur (from the outside): Kilt (from the outside) Neck collar

Leather chest armor - for battles
Leather tunica in the making
Varied blade weapons, daggers missing - which I think need a little more dark to the handles with my new update.

Re: Orc in the making (Garment docum.)
I'm not sure exactly what you mean with the first set of questions?
I'm glad you like it. It sure seems like my orc have been through a hard workout.
Reminds me I got a photo (the main part still being edited and sorted) to show, until the photographers release more here you go. I'm really happy about how it turned out. And are looking forward to the full body pictures that I got taken too.

Update 3
And as promised some pictures of the updated costume, from this weekend's larp.
As noted in my 'df anmeldung' there's still a few things to work on, but it's getting there.

Re: Orc in the making (Garment docum.)
hell yeah,
now it has the bloody brutal look, that is part of your okup shakamb style.
in my opinion, you have reached the point where your stuff fits into
the picture of your group as a whole.
i like it
there is just one point, that needs your attention:
your shoes.
cover them and everythings fine

Yeeeeeees,
this is one ugly Motherfucker ^^
You made such a pig's ear out of that fur, I like it.
And to make it become a complete Uruk, give him a shoecovering.

Hey guys, thanks for your thoughts and shoulderpats. It surely is getting there - shoecover is the next thing I'm looking into. You're joined in with my clan's members poking me about it too.
@Blozbarz I was surprised to see my own language in here - did you google translate that bit or are you actually able to speak/write danish?
It is great to see how you fancy my style and look. Cannot turn out as anything but a nice day
So a good day and weekend to you guys too
